Badger Australia’s SecondBite December Appeal
It’s the season for giving and the Badger Australia team is giving back to our community and industry in December.
Badger Australia is donating $1 for every order you place to SecondBite, which translates into 5 meals for Australian’s who are experiencing food insecurity today.
This Appeal will run for the whole month, as we’re hoping to help provide hundreds of meals to disadvantaged Australians over the Christmas period.

Who is SecondBite?
In Australia, we throw away an unbelievable amount of perfectly edible food every day. At the same time, a growing number of Australians find themselves struggling to make ends meet. In the course of a year, more than 1 in 6 experience food insecurity in Australia – that’s 4 million people.
While solving the problem of food insecurity for 4 million Australians requires a comprehensive set of approaches, SecondBite is playing an important part in providing access to fresh, nutritious food for people in need across Australia every day.
In the 2018/2019 financial year, SecondBite rescued 19.4 million kilograms of fresh fruit and vegetables, equivalent to nearly 40 million meals for people in need, that is providing over 100,000 meals every single day.
